VOLKAN KIZILTUNÇ

" The Look" is a three channel video based on the moments where the members of the families looking to the  camera. The eye contact between family members being transformed to the eye contact between the persons in the film with the artist. Now its a new interaction with the person and the viewer.

In line with this obsession, Kiziltunc continues to focus on the liaison between the photograph and the motion picture. Different from his previous work ‘The Unspectacular’ where the artist offers us a moment of observation and contemplation, in this video triptic, Kiziltunc is examining the term of “looking” in a conceptual dimension and draws attention to a state of detachment from the premise of time as an record.
